Smoothing and painting of wall tiles

Smoothing and painting of wall tiles

Sometimes, when renovating rooms with tiling, we can opt for the direct smoothing and painting of the walls, in order to carry out the work more quickly.

Prior analysis

To regularise a wall made of tiles, we have to take into account the following premises:

  • Stability of the facing
  • Adhesion on an enamelled surface

Technical considerations

Prior to application, the surface must be cleaned to remove any dirt or grease and remove the surface shine with diluted GECOL Desincrustante and rinse with water.

Then apply a layer of up to 5 mm of GECOL Rasoplast and smooth the surface.

Once dry, apply a finishing coat with one of the products from the GECOL Cril or GECOL Revestcril range.
